Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said the citizens see the government in the face and conduct of the police force.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of Inspector Basic Training 1-183 Batch here today, President Bhandari said the decision and conduct of police personnel will make people’s perception towards the state.
“People will see their government in your faces and actions,” she said. Your decisions and conduct will shape the perception of the people towards the state. Therefore, you should always remember that no one is above the law, but the officers entrusted with law enforcement should also have a sense of etiquette and humanity. You are the first door to the journey of justice. ’
Likewise, she said that the proper implementation of the law is possible only if the investigation is fair, honest and professional. “I have seen this from close quarters during my long tenure in the judiciary. On the occasion, Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal expressed the belief that the words administered to him today would always instill a sense of responsibility.
He also said that he has reached the level of taking oath by acquiring conduct, behavior, education, art and skills to be followed as a member of a disciplined organization.
“I am confident that the words of oath taken by you today will always instill a sense of responsibility to you,” he said.
