Joint General Secretary Ramhari Khatiwada said that the meeting has been called at 3:00 pm.
The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of its office-bearers following the arrest of Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa.
“There is no basis for arresting the party president, the government has spread rumours of arrest to weaken the voice of the Nepali Congress, the meeting will discuss contemporary issues,” Khatiwada said, adding, “We have already made public a 6-point statement on the government’s controversial move yesterday.” ’
On the other hand, NC joint general secretary Ajaya Babu Shiwakoti wrote on social media, “The government will not be disturbed by your fear and confusion. ’
