Kathmandu. The candidate for the post of General Secretary in the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma has said that he will continue to serve the party and the people even if he is defeated in the election.
He congratulated all the office-bearers elected from the general convention and thanked all the general convention delegates who voted for him and all who supported the election campaign.
He wrote that the outcome of the election did not weaken his political responsibility and commitment to party transformation. “Whether in office or not, I was and will remain dedicated to the service of the party and the common people living in the remotest corners of the country,” he wrote.
Stating that he remained committed to making NC people-oriented, service-oriented, modern and result-oriented, he said he would continuously take efforts for positive changes in the party, a strong organisation and establishment of a political culture accountable to the people.
Sharma also expressed his commitment to work for the welfare of the party and the people by working together with all the leaders, elected office-bearers and party cadres to keep the democratic system alive.
