Kathmandu. The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has discussed the issue of holding a general convention after the local level elections.
The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is going to bring a new schedule for the general convention, concluding that it is not possible to hold the general convention in November.
Earlier, the NCP had decided to hold the general convention in Kathmandu from November 26 to 29. But that general convention schedule has been affected.
Coordinator of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called the meeting to take a decision on the general convention on June 7.
Spokesperson Prakash Jwala said that this meeting will decide on the general convention and the party’s two-month campaign. He said that the party’s previous schedule has been affected. Therefore, the next meeting will decide about the general convention and the party. ’
A leader said that discussions were held to hold the general convention after the election as the work of renewal and distribution of membership has not been completed.
The leader said, “The coordinator and co-coordinator are holding discussions at the top level. No decision has been taken. Now that we have to prepare for the local elections, we will not hesitate in the general convention. The next meeting will take a decision. ’
It has been a year since the party was announced, but the work of integration has not been completed yet. Still, the organizational structures are being operated in different ways.
