Stock market rises after 2 trading days

Kathmandu. The stock market has risen after two trading days. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 11.96 points to close at 2,578.73 points today.

Except for microfinance and non-life insurance, the sub-indices of all the groups have increased. Shares of 169 companies rose today and 95 declined. Shares of 15 companies remained unchanged.

Shares of Trishuli Hydropower Ltd rose 5.11 per cent today. Overall, shares of Sarvottam Paints fell by nearly 5 per cent on the day of the market’s rise.

Although the NEPSE index increased today, the turnover amount has decreased. Shares of 3.955 billion shares of 359 companies were traded for Rs 3.13 billion today, compared to Rs 3.27 billion yesterday.
