The stock market fell by double digits

Kathmandu. The stock market fell by double digits on the first trading day of the week. The NEPSE index decreased by 20.48 points to close at 2,566.76 points today.

The sub-indices of all the sub-indices except trade, finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower and investment groups fell by more than 1 percent.

Today, the shares of 242 companies have decreased and 32 have increased. Similarly, the shares of 4 companies have not fluctuated.

Shares of 5 companies fell by more than 5.5 per cent today. Overall, the debentures of Standard Chartered Bank rose by 5.75 per cent on the day of the market decline.

Today, the transaction amount has also decreased along with the NEPSE. On Friday, 90 lakh shares of 359 companies were traded for Rs 3.27 billion, compared to Rs 4.29 billion on Friday.
