Kathmandu. Rabi Lamichhane, president of the ruling Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP), has claimed that the Balen government will not fall.
In his best wishes at the inaugural session of the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress underway at Bhrikutimanda, the Prime Minister said, “The government does not fall, but the people who believe that the government will fall will fall when they see the government fail.” ’
Stating that the only way to topple the government is elections, he warned them not to dream of toppling the government through agitation. Urging them to defeat the government in the upcoming elections if they are not able to work, he said, “I tell the RSP cadres that if we are not able to work in 5 years, they should leave the party membership.” ’
Stating that the people’s trust would not be hurt, President Lamichhane said that he would defend the changes and work in practice in favour of the people and not on paper.
