KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has filed his candidacy for the post of vice-president.
Angdembe is also preparing to file his candidacy if the number of vice-presidents is added to the 15th general convention starting from today.
The Congress is amending the statute to increase the number of vice-presidents, general secretaries and joint general secretaries. Angdembe was elected as joint general secretary from the Sher Bahadur Deuba faction in the 14th general convention.
After the special general convention, Angdembe left the Deuba group and joined the establishment party.
