Strict code of conduct issued to candidates for NC general convention, warned of action if they violate

Kathmandu. The 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress (NC) has tightened the code of conduct for candidates for various posts.

Member Secretary of the Central Election Committee, Raju Katuwal, said that the code of conduct has been formulated keeping in mind the national sentiments and environmental aspects.

It has appealed to all respected leaders, cadres, candidates and well-wishers to conduct the 15th general convention in a disciplined, dignified and grand manner by fully abiding by the code of conduct and realizing the responsibility towards the country and the people in the hour of disaster. It has warned that action will be taken as per the rules if the election code of conduct is violated.

These are the four codes of conduct

1. Full of fancy and fancy propaganda

Respecting the post-disaster situation, any kind of provocative publicity campaign has been completely prohibited to make the Congress dignified, frugal and disciplined.

2. Complete in print and physical promotional materials

The ban prohibits the placement, pasting or distribution of flexes, banners, posters, pamphlets or any other type of printed publicity material in and around the convention venue.

3. To campaign outside the convention venue

It is strictly forbidden to keep or display any kind of physical propaganda material on the outer premises of the convention venue, public roads or surrounding areas.

4. Digital and technology-friendly publicity only

Candidates will be allowed to disseminate their agenda and candidacy details only through digital means (social media, online and other electronic means).
