Kathmandu. Telecommunication services have been affected at various places of Nepal Telecom due to incessant rains, storms, floods and landslides.
Nepal Telecom has stated that the service has been disrupted in various places of the country due to the incessant rainfall and storm since September 22, 2083.
According to the company, heavy rains and landslides have made it difficult for technical teams to reach the affected areas and the optical fiber has been damaged.
Likewise, the disruption in power supply, snowfall, rain and clouds have reduced the efficiency of the solar site, causing problems in the service of the company.
Technically, the maintenance work that can be done through the system is going on and the service is being repaired in the places where possible, the Telecom has informed in a notice.
The company said it has been put on standby to mobilize technical teams at the affected work sites once the weather improves.
Nepal Telecom has apologized for the inconvenience caused to the customers due to the disruption in service.
Nepal Telecom has also expressed gratitude for the customer showing patience even in difficult situation caused by flood, landslide and incessant rain.
