Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel and Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, who is also the acting Prime Minister, paid a courtesy call. They met at the President’s Palace, Sheetal Niwas, on Wednesday morning.
Current issues were discussed during the meeting. Prime Minister Balendra Shah left for the United States of America on Tuesday to attend the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations. On his recommendation, the President assigned the responsibility of the Acting Prime Minister to Finance Minister Dr. Wagle.
He has also been assigned the portfolio of Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministries on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
