Kathmandu. The Currency Management Department of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has introduced a new banknote of Rs 50 denomination. The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing new banknotes in the market from today.
According to the NRB, the new banknotes are in the same size, color and format as before, and the code number is T24000001 to N709999999.
According to the Rastra Bank, in the middle of the front of this new note, there is a promise phrase about the payment of the guarantee of the Government of Nepal. On the left side of the note is the picture of Sagarmatha and on the right side is the water stamp of Laligurans and “NRB” is inscribed below it. The lower section has the series number “B.S. 2082” and the signature of Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel.
The note has a 1.2 mm diameter. The widened safety thread can be clearly seen when it is pointed towards the light. The picture of a snow leopard is written in the middle of the back of the note and “NEPAL RASTRA BANK” is written in English above it. The lower part of the reverse mentions “RUPEES FIFTY” in English and the series number “2025 A.D.”
