Over 157 kg marijuana seized in Siraha

Kathmandu. The Armed Police Force (APF) has seized 157 kilograms of marijuana being smuggled to India illegally.

Armed Police Force Nepal No. A mobile patrolling team deployed from 7 Battalion Headquarters, Siraha, seized cannabis from Itattar border area of Aurahi Rural Municipality-4.

According to the Armed Police Force, people carrying cannabis from Nepal to India were transported to India at around 1:35 am on Wednesday morning after seeing the patrolling team.

The patrol team said that the process of handing over the seized marijuana to the concerned authorities for necessary investigation and legal process.

Armed Police Force Nepal No. 7 Battalion Headquarters Siraha Chief SP Suman Jung Thapa said that patrolling and surveillance have been made more effective to control illegal activities taking place along the border.
