Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah will travel to New York on September 20 to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He is scheduled to return home on September 24.
He is going there only for a short period to address the gathering. He will draw the attention of the United Nations this time to the impact of climate change after the Bhotekoshi floods caused huge loss of life and property. Earlier, it was decided that a Nepali delegation was going to be led by Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal. But after the floods, Prime Minister Shah is going to lead the Nepali delegation. The Prime Minister’s visiting delegation will also be up to 10 people.
