KATHMANDU: As many as 24 bodies have been recovered from a house in Betrawati of Bidur Municipality-10 in Nuwakot district.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Bipin Regmi of District Police Office, Nuwakot, 24 dead bodies were recovered from a house where Uttargaya Mini Mart is located in Betrawati.
“We have recovered 24 bodies to the best of our ability. We are yet to search for other bodies,” SP Regmi told Onlinekhabar.
He said that the work of identifying the exhumed bodies is underway. The identity of the bodies has not been done yet.
The bodies will be sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for postmortem, he added.
A large number of people were found dead in a single house due to the devastating floods in the Trishuli River via Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa district on August 10.
