The Flood Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a special notice stating that the risk of possible floods in the Bhotekoshi River has increased. <\/p>\n<p>According to the latest information received from China through Nepal&#8217;s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, satellite images and preliminary analysis have shown that the lake was formed after the river was blocked at the place where the flood occurred on September 26. <\/p>\n<p>The lake is continuously rising and there is a risk of the lake bursting, the notice said. Special vigilance has been urged in view of the possibility of flash floods in the lower banks of the Bhotekoshi River if the lake bursts. <\/p>\n<p>The Flood Forecasting Division has urged the people living on the lower banks of the Bhotekoshi River, passengers, rescuers and those concerned to stay on the banks of the river banks and vulnerable areas until further notice. <\/p>\n<p>The Division has also urged one and all not to follow the notices issued by the local levels and concerned bodies in view of the possible risks. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
