{"id":99759,"date":"2026-08-27T11:31:25","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T05:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kalopati.com\/?p=99759"},"modified":"2026-08-27T11:35:05","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T05:50:05","slug":"electricity-supply-resumes-in-nuwakot-from-alternative-line-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kalopati.com\/news\/99759","title":{"rendered":"Electricity supply resumes in Nuwakot from alternative line"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has restored power supply in various areas of Nuwakot district through alternative transmission system. <\/p>\n<p>NEA has said that electricity has been supplied to flood-ravaged areas including Kharanitar, Samundratar, Chaugada, Likhu, Panchakanya, Bidur from Sindhupalchowk through an alternative line. <\/p>\n<p>According to NEA Spokesperson Rajan Dhakal, work is underway to charge Chapali-Devighat 66 kV line and 11 kV line from Chapali substation and 11 kV line to Balaju-Trishuli 66 kV. Preparations are underway to bring these lines into operation soon after completing the necessary technical work and efforts are being made to restore the power service by evening. <\/p>\n<p>In some places of the Trishuli region, alternative arrangements have been made to supply electricity through the Salyantar substation in Dhading. The NEA has said that efforts are being made to operate the service by using alternative sources in the areas where it is difficult to supply electricity from the regular system due to the structures damaged by the floods. <\/p>\n<p>The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has mobilized a team of skilled technical manpower, necessary equipment and resources from Kathmandu and surrounding areas to Nuwakot to regularize the electricity service as soon as possible. The team has been carrying out the inspection, repair and management of alternative supply of the affected power structures with priority. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha had directed the government to expedite the works by adopting all necessary measures to immediately restore the power supply along with the rescue of the employees who remained out of contact and stranded in the flood-affected areas. As per the directive of Minister Shrestha, a high-level team led by Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Dirgha Kumar Shrestha has been deputed to the affected areas. The team comprises Deputy Executive Director of NEA Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Spokesperson of Directorate of Distribution and Customer Service Rajan Dhakal and Chief Executive Officer of NEA Engineering Company Chirantan Bikram Rana. <\/p>\n<p>The NEA has prioritized resumption of power supply through alternative system in possible places by continuously assessing the condition of power structures damaged by floods and repairing damaged infrastructures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has restored power supply in various areas of Nuwakot district through alternative transmission system.
