Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balen Shah has said that Nepal Army, Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Police have been mobilized to intensify rescue and relief efforts in Rasuwa district. <\/p>\n
Informing through social media, PM Shah said that additional security personnel and human resources have been dispatched to the affected areas from other districts as well. <\/p>\n
Necessary rescue and relief operations have been carried out by coordinating with the medical team, Nepal Scouts and Red Cross agencies by making the Disaster Management Authority active, he added. The process of sending additional ambulances and medical manpower to the affected areas has also started. <\/p>\n
The Prime Minister said that the Chief District Officer (CDO) concerned has been directed to immediately shift the people of downstream areas to safer places. Locals have been alerted to move to safer places through SMS and phone. <\/p>\n
All helicopters have been dismantled to the affected areas for possible rescue and relief operations. According to Shah, private helicopter companies have also been informed about keeping helicopters on standby and some private helicopters have been mobilized in the affected areas. <\/p>\n
A high-level meeting has been called to decide on the next steps, he said. <\/p>\n
Prime Minister Shah has urged everyone to stay in safe places and wait for updates on rescue and relief from the concerned government bodies if they are not able to contact their relatives.
