Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s visit to Mustang has excited the locals and tourism entrepreneurs. It is expected that Mustang’s tourism, religious area and road infrastructure development would get more priority with the PM’s visit. <\/p>\n
Earlier, the then Prime Minister Sushila Karki had also reached Mustang. He had directly reached the Muktinath area via Nepal Army helicopter from Kathmandu. Prime Minister Shah, however, travelled the arduous route along the Beni-Jomsom road section even in the rainy season. <\/p>\n
President of Mustang Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Raju Prasad Lalchan said that PM’s visit to Mustang is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s tourism sector. He said that the Prime Minister’s first visit to Nepal beginning from Mustang and traveling by road has increased the hope that the government would pay attention to the road infrastructure in the district. <\/p>\n
He said a big change could be brought in the tourism sector of Mustang if the Korala checkpoint was made systematic and effective. He said that tourists coming to Kailash Mansarovar religious pilgrimage would be easier if the immigration office at Korala transit was made more active and passport facility could be provided. <\/p>\n
Lalchan said that a trilateral tourism route linking India, Nepal and China could be developed if the existing restrictions and procedures could be eased for the foreign tourists visiting Upper Mustang. <\/p>\n
Muktinath Hotel Association president Suraj Gurung said that the PM’s Mustang visit should be taken as a significant opportunity for the tourism entrepreneurs there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
