Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed Sandeep Lamichhane as the captain of the ODI team in place of Rohit Paudel. With this decision of CAN, Sandeep has returned to the responsibility of captain after 4 years. Earlier, Sandeep, who became the captain in 2079, was removed from the responsibility after a rape case. Sandeep Lamichhane will lead Nepal from ACC Premier Cup to be held in Malaysia. <\/p>\n
The team includes Asif Sheikh, Arjun Kumal, Rohit Poudel, Dev Khanal, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Jora, Bashir Ahmed, Ishan Pandey, Gulshan Jha, Sher Malla, Lalit Rajbanshi, Karan KC and Hemanta Thami. Regular openers Kushal Bhurtel and Sompal Kami have not been included in the squad. <\/p>\n
Aarif Sheikh and Bhim Sarki have been dropped from the squad. Nepal’s captain has been changed following Nepal’s poor performance in the ICC World Cup League-2.
