Kathmandu. More than 1 million people have been evacuated after the mighty dolphin entered half of China’s east coast. The typhoon has disrupted transport services in areas including Shanghai, China, raising the risk of heavy rain, flooding and landslides, the BBC reported. <\/p>\n
When the dolphin entered the Yuhuan area of Zhejiang province last evening, the maximum wind speed reached 150 kilometers per hour. About an hour later, the typhoon made landfall in the city of Wenzhou for the second time, Chinese meteorological officials said. <\/p>\n
About 1,400 flights have been canceled in Shanghai alone due to the impact of the storm. China had previously issued the highest level of red alert for the typhoon but this morning the warning level was lowered after the threat receded. <\/p>\n
According to reports, the storm is now moving towards the interior of China. Officials have warned that there is a risk of heavy rain, flooding and landslides in some areas until Wednesday. <\/p>\n
