Kathmandu. Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain has claimed that foreign activities have increased in Nepal after the abolition of the monarchy and termed the upcoming elections scheduled for March 4 as a ‘trap’ for Nepal and Nepalis. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a press conference organized on Thursday, he said that the country was known as the role of Pashupatinath, Sagarmatha, Mata Durga and Vedas when there was monarchy in Nepal. <\/p>\n
“When Nepal had monarchy, it was known as the land of Pashupatinath, the land of Sagarmatha and the country of Mata Durga. This is the land of penance written in the Vedas. But today’s leadership has become a leadership that sells for money. Singha Durbar was burnt, the Supreme Court was burnt, the houses of various people were burnt down. \u2019<\/p>\n
Prasain claimed that Nepal has been suffering since the day the provision of removing secularism and monarchy was included in the Interim Constitution in the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly. <\/p>\n
“Foreigners were not allowed to roam in Nepal until he became the king. In the very first meeting of the Constituent Assembly, provisions were made to abolish secularism and monarchy. \u2019<\/p>\n
He also addressed the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and civil servants, describing the upcoming March 4 election as a ‘trap of Nepal and Nepalis’. “Your country is no more,” he said. <\/p>\n
Prasain also blamed the Prime Minister and the Home Minister over the incident in Sunsari and questioned the mobilization of the army. <\/p>\n
“The incident in Sunsari was caused by the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. I can be hanged anywhere in the world. The army is not mobilized at all, it needs a cabinet decision and the president’s signature.
