Kathmandu. Minister for Home Affairs Sudhan Gurung has stressed that there should not be any kind of conflict from now on and all should live together. <\/p>\n
Talking to media persons after holding talks with the agitating factions including the Hindu organizations in Dhanusha, he stressed on the need for all citizens to live in harmony. “It is the common responsibility of all to maintain social harmony and religious tolerance,” he said. <\/p>\n
Home Minister Gurung reiterated that there was no alternative to all sides to come together to strengthen peace, security and unity in the country. He also urged all sides concerned to move ahead by resolving the disputes seen in the recent period through dialogue. <\/p>\n
A 13-point agreement was signed between the government talks team led by Home Minister Gurung and representatives of Hindu organizations. The life of the Tarai-Madhes, which was disturbed after an incident between a group of youths at Kaptangunj of Dewangunj-3 in Sunsari district on Sunday night, has slowly started returning to normalcy. <\/p>\n
The tension has eased after a week with the efforts of the government, opposition parties, civil society, social organisations, religious leaders and local communities. Security has been strengthened in Sunsari, Siraha, Saptari, Dhanusha, Parsa and other places. <\/p>\n
