Kathmandu. The OPD services of the hospital which remained closed due to the doctors’ strike have resumed from today. Doctors and health workers across the country have been protesting against the manhandling of doctors at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj. <\/p>\n
The patients who came to the hospital for health check-up had to return home disappointed after the OPD services were closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. <\/p>\n
On July 9, a medical officer working at Narayani Hospital, Dr. Pramod Ram was attacked. <\/p>\n
The relatives of the deceased had attacked the patient after he died during treatment at the emergency ward of the hospital. Dr. Jim Smith was injured in the attack. Pramod is undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Centre. <\/p>\n
Doctors across the country had taken to the streets to protest against the government’s decision to arrest those attacking doctors. <\/p>\n
The government and Nepal Medical Association (NMA) on Wednesday signed a 5-point agreement. The doctors have returned to their regular service from today after the strike was called off. <\/p>\n
The OPD, which was closed for two days, has been crowded with patients since early morning. <\/p>\n
A crowd of service seekers was seen at the Civil Hospital (Civil Hospital) in Baneshwor since Thursday morning. <\/p>\n
