Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has directed all hospitals not to disrupt health services at any cost. Stating that the process of bringing the culprits to book was underway, the Ministry urged the government to continue providing medical services. <\/p>\n
Ministry’s attention has been drawn towards the incidents of harassment and mistreatment of doctors, health workers and health institutions of recent period, said Joint Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, among others. According to the Ministry, the bodies concerned are ahead with the necessary process to identify the culprits and take legal action. <\/p>\n
After the attack on a doctor at Narayani Hospital, Health Minister Nisha Mehta has said that the injured doctor Dr. Arrangements have been made to bring Pramod Ram to Kathmandu for further treatment and they have reached the trauma center to enquire about his health. Minister Mehta directed the security agencies to take strict action against the culprits and continued efforts to prevent the disruption of health services. <\/p>\n
Issuing a press release on Tuesday, the Ministry urged all hospitals to resume health services regularly. The Ministry has clarified that there should not be any obstruction in the treatment of the citizens as the health service is essential, life-saving and sensitive service. <\/p>\n
