Kathmandu. A big landslide has taken place at Lachewar area of Umakunda rural municipality-1 in Ramechhap district following incessant rainfall last night. <\/p>\n
According to Gyaljen Sherpa, a local, the flood in the Thado rivulet has completely washed away a hotel in Lachewar area. <\/p>\n
Likewise, the dam area of the 77 MW Dugar Hydropower Project has also suffered significant damages. <\/p>\n
According to Sherpa, two motorable bridges in the area have also been washed away due to the landslide and incessant rain. He said that all the road links leading to Lachewar have been obstructed due to the damage to the bridge and the road. <\/p>\n
The details of the casualties are yet to be ascertained. No official details of the incident have been made public by the concerned government and security agencies. <\/p>\n
