Kathmandu. Expressing sorrow over the demise of Ganesh Nepali after self-immolation, Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa said the incident was a painful moment shaking the society, state and collective consciousness. <\/p>\n

Thapa paid tribute to Ganesh Nepali through social media and extended condolences to the bereaved family members. <\/p>\n

“I am shocked by the incident of Ganesh Nepali. This incident is a very painful moment to shake the society, state and our collective consciousness,” he wrote. <\/p>\n

“This issue should not be a matter of political debate or blame, but it should be linked to the life of a citizen, the pain of the family and human sensitivities,” he said. <\/p>\n

“This is not a matter of political debate or blame. This is a matter related to the life of a citizen, the unbearable pain of a family and our human sensitivities,” Thapa said. <\/p>\n

He said that everyone should think from their place how they can help the dependent family of Ganesh Nepali. <\/p>\n

Thapa said such incidents should be made a matter of collective introspection related to the governance of the state rather than the debate on who is to blame in the past and present. <\/p>\n

He said that the answer should be sought as to why a young person is in such a state of despair and why he has to set his own body on fire to narrate his pain. <\/p>\n

“The state services and mechanisms should make the citizens feel support, support and trust, but why do some citizens feel so helpless in front of the state?” he asked. <\/p>\n

“There needs to be an honest review of where there are weaknesses as a society, family, state and citizens,” he said. <\/p>\n

“Seeking honest answers to these questions and creating an environment in which no citizen will have to choose such a path in the future would be a true tribute to Ganesh Nepali,” he wrote. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
