Meteorologist Binod Pokharel said two weather forecasting models have predicted heavy rainfall in western Nepal. However, the area and amount of rainfall could be different, he said. Caution has been urged to stay alert as some places may receive more rainfall than the model shows and less rainfall in some places. <\/p>\n
Meteorologist Pokharel wrote on Facebook, “Some places will receive more rainfall than the model shows and in some places it will rain less. So be careful. \u2019<\/p>\n
Meteorologists said that there is a risk of landslides along with rainfall in the hilly and mountainous region and water level in the rivers and streams should increase during this period. <\/p>\n
Less rainfall in Terai compared to hilly region<\/strong><\/p>\n }<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Tarai region of eastern Nepal is receiving relatively less rainfall. Although the weather forecasting models show the possibility of rain, many places in the Tarai have not received significant rainfall. <\/p>\n According to meteorologist Binod Pokharel, the main reason for this is the weakening of the system that causes rain to elevate the clouds upwards. He said comparatively more rainfall is taking place in the hilly areas as the hilly region helps to raise the clouds.
