Kathmandu. CPN-UML whip and lawmaker Ain Bahadur Mahar expressed dissatisfaction over the budget presented by the government. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Minister Thapa said although it was expected that the budget would bring drastic changes in the country’s economic and social sectors, it has not been able to do so. <\/p>\n
He said that he had high expectations from the Finance Minister but after the presentation of the budget, it disappointed him. <\/p>\n
“We had hoped that this very strong government would bring a very good budget and become a milestone of radical change, but ironically, it did not happen,” he said. When I saw the learned Finance Minister on TV, I thought that he would do something when he heard the statements of the past. <\/p>\n
But when he presented the budget in the House, the substance of it was not satisfactory. The Finance Minister’s attitude made us more serious than the issues included in the budget. He did not have the kind of temperament that a scholar should have. \u2019<\/p>\n
Lawmaker Mahar accused the Finance Minister of behaving in a contemptuous and insulting manner towards the opposition, saying such behavior has raised questions on the Finance Minister’s wisdom. <\/p>\n
He termed the budget irresponsible as it failed to adequately address the needs of the remote areas, poor and impoverished communities, women, children, Dalits and backward communities. <\/p>\n
“He behaved in a way that insulted and insulted the opposition. It has raised serious questions about his scholarship. The budget didn’t look remote. It did not see the poor and impoverished communities, women, children, Dalits. <\/p>\n
In a way, the budget is irresponsible, airy and full. It made me sad. He insulted the people’s mandate. I would like to draw serious attention to this, Mr. Finance Minister. He also said that the budget is discriminatory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
