Kathmandu. CPN-UML Parliamentary Party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that the country was gripped in a serious national crisis. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, he said that the parliament has been obstructed for more than a week to find a way out of the present crisis and the struggle was going on inside the parliament. <\/p>\n
He said that a way out was not possible without a clear analysis of how the crisis had arisen, what is its source and who can solve it. <\/p>\n
“Today, the country is in the grip of a serious national crisis. It’s all about what we’ve experienced. The House has been adjourned for more than a week to find a way out of the crisis. <\/p>\n
And there is a struggle going on in the House. How did this crisis arise? What is its source? <\/p>\n
Without a concrete analysis of this crisis, we cannot find a solution to it. What is the solution to this crisis? Who can solve this crisis? Without a concrete analysis of this issue, we will not be able to get rid of this crisis. \u2019<\/p>\n
Thapa said that the CPN-UML has concluded that the present crisis has emerged from two major events. According to him, the first incident is related to the statement made by the Prime Minister from the rostrum of the House of Representatives on May 17. <\/p>\n
“On 17th Jestha, the Honorable Prime Minister stated that Nepal has encroached on a lot of Indian land through this rostrum. We believe that this declaration and expression has created a crisis,” Thapa said. <\/p>\n
Claiming that such statement was made in the parliament a day before the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) president’s India visit, he said it sent a special message. <\/p>\n
