Kathmandu. Police have arrested Tulsi Adhikari, popularly known as Tulsa Adhikari. He was arrested from Thailand and brought to Kathmandu. Superintendent of Police (SP) Gautam Mishra of District Police Range, Lalitpur, said that he was brought to Nepal on Saturday night. <\/p>\n
Money laundering, criminal gains and fraud cases have already been filed against Adhikari at Lalitpur District Court. SP Mishra said that Adhikari will be produced before the court for the purpose of detention. Adhikari, who was issued a red notice by Interpol, was arrested with the help of the International Police Organization (Interpol). <\/p>\n
The District Attorney’s Office had filed a case against him in March 2082 with a claim of Rs 65.22 million. A businessman from Lalitpur had filed a complaint against Adhikari. There are 10 defendants including Adhikari in the case. <\/p>\n
The managing director of Tulsa Collection Pvt Ltd has accused the businessman of continuously blackmailing him to implicate him in a rape case. The businessmen have claimed that the officer had taken cash and commodities worth Rs 4.5 crore from them by blackmailing them. <\/p>\n
