Kathmandu. Anushka Shrestha, a lawmaker from the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has urged the government to make the sale and distribution of Nepal products compulsorily in all shops at Tribhuvan International Airport. <\/p>\n
He argued that the government should keep the products produced by the Nepali entrepreneurs in Nepal for sale with priority so as thousands of passengers go out of Nepal every day from the airport. <\/p>\n
Speaking in the zero hour of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, lawmaker Shrestha stressed that the government should utilize the airport for the promotion of cottage and small industries and domestic products. <\/p>\n
Lawmaker Shrestha said, “The taste, handicraft and presence of Made in Nepal in our Tribhuvan Airport seems to be weak.” With thousands of passengers departing from Nepal every day, it is an opportunity to bring Nepal’s identity to the world. <\/p>\n
I would like to request the government and the TIA management to make it mandatory for all the shops and tenders at the airport to have a dedicated section of Nepali products. Priority should be given to small and domestic entrepreneurs. This step can be effective in spreading ‘Made in Nepal’ across the world. \u2019<\/p>\n
