In the past 24 hours, 1,687 drivers have been taken action for violating traffic rules. <\/p>\n<p>This amounts to Rs 2,031,506 in revenue to the state exchequer. <\/p>\n<p>According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 85 people for consuming alcohol, 163 for ride-sharing, 142 for breaching signal lights and 117 for speeding. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, action has been taken against 66 for flouting lane discipline, 86 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 98 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 121 for one-way driving and 804 for violating other traffic rules.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
