Kathmandu. On Monday, the first trading day of the week, all the stock market indices rose. The NEPSE index increased by 38.19 points or 1.39 percent. <\/p>\n
With this increase, the NEPSE index reached at 2783 points. This number is also the highest number of the day. Since the opening of trading today, the market has been on a rise till the last minute. Prior to this, the NEPSE index had increased by 27 points. <\/p>\n
The transaction amount has also increased. The previous day’s turnover was Rs 3.28 billion, which was Rs 4.61 billion today. The price of 247 companies has increased while 18 have decreased. Similarly, the prices of 4 companies remained unchanged. The indices of all the groups have increased. The other group index was the biggest gainer, rising 2.11 percent. <\/p>\n
Likewise, banking grew 1.02 per cent, development bank 1.36 per cent, finance 1.81 per cent, hotel and tourism 0.69 per cent, hydropower 1.79 per cent, investment 1.25 per cent, life insurance 0.99, production and processing 1.30 per cent, microfinance 1.70 per cent, non-life insurance 1.60 per cent and trading 1.15 per cent. <\/p>\n
First Microfinance was the biggest gainer, rising 14.18 per cent. Dolti Hydropower Ltd (8.43 per cent), Aatma Nirbhar Laghubitta (6.78 per cent) and Menchhyam Hydropower Ltd (6.64 per cent) surged in the review period. <\/p>\n
The price of Trishuli Hydropower Ltd decreased by 2.87 percent. The company’s price had increased by 10 percent the previous day. Likewise, the price of Jhapa Energy decreased by 2.23 percent and Asian Hydropower by 2.10 percent. <\/p>\n
