President Ram Chandra Poudel today issued the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council. The government had again recommended to the President to issue the ordinance. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier, President Poudel had issued 7 out of the eight ordinances recommended by the government, but the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council was sent back for reconsideration. <\/p>\n<p>The cabinet meeting on Monday had recommended to re-issue the ordinance as it is. The President issued the ordinance today. <\/p>\n<p>As per the ordinance, 4 members can be present in the meeting of the Constitutional Council and the decision can be taken by a majority of the members present. <\/p>\n<p>The Constitutional Council is chaired by the Prime Minister and has 6 members. The council comprises the prime minister, leader of the main opposition party, chief justice, speaker of the House of Representatives, deputy speaker and chairman of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
