Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) has decided to convert the party membership management into a fully digital system. The issue was discussed in a demo meeting of membership held at the central office today. <\/p>\n
A demo meeting on membership management presented by the Department of Organization in the presence of party’s vice-chairperson, general secretary, state leaders and representatives of people’s organizations also discussed the proposed system and implementation model. A proposal has been put forward in the meeting to renew the membership through online system, new membership admission and make the entire archive management digital. <\/p>\n
Vice-chairman Bishnu Poudel said that the online membership renewal campaign was an important step to make the party life more systematic, transparent and effective. <\/p>\n
Coordinator of the party’s Organization Department and party central secretary Bhanubhakta Dhakal said the objective of the meeting was to make the party membership system completely digital, transparent and systematic. He stressed on the need of integrated digital documentation from the central level to the ward level. <\/p>\n
According to the Organization Department, the entire membership process of the UML will be conducted only through online system. It will be implemented in all seven provinces, all districts and 753 local levels simultaneously. <\/p>\n
Similarly, facilitation related to membership will be made in physical presence at each local level and arrangements will be made to renew the membership linking it with the party’s works. The bio-data of the leaders associated with the organization from central committee to ward level will be collected and archived through the online system. <\/p>\n
Earlier, a meeting of the Organization Department along with the presidents of all seven provinces had proposed to fix the last date for renewal of membership in mid-June. <\/p>\n
According to Dhakal, the members who do not renew their membership within the stipulated time will be automatically relieved of their responsibilities of the party committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
