Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a double-digit fall on Thursday. The market, which has been declining for the last two days, continued the same trend on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 2.95 points to close at 2804.17 points. The Sensitive Float Index has increased by 0.65 points and the Sensitive Float Index has increased by 0.32 points. <\/p>\n
Although the index saw a slight decline, there was a significant improvement in the transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 5.77 billion were traded on Tuesday and 1,75,88,000 units of shares of 342 companies were traded at Rs 7.81 billion on Wednesday. A total of 1,21,433 transactions were made on this day. <\/p>\n
Although the market fell today, the share prices of three companies have hit a positive circuit. Share prices of Palpa Cement Industries, Suryakunda Hydro Electric and Shikhar Power Development Ltd have surged by more than 10 percent to hit the positive circuit circuit. Likewise, the share price of Jhapa Energy increased by 14 percent and Ganapati Laghubitta by 9 percent. <\/p>\n
On the other hand, the share price of Hotel Forest Inn fell 10.75 percent to the list of the biggest losers. <\/p>\n
On the basis of turnover, National Hydropower Company Ltd topped the list. Shares worth Rs 41.34 crore were traded in the company. Similarly, shares of Reliance Spinning Mills worth Rs 32.5 crore and Solu Hydropower worth Rs 31.5 crore were traded. <\/p>\n
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups increased while the indices of 8 sub-groups decreased. Likewise, general growth was seen in the sub-group of banking, finance, investment, production and processing and non-life insurance. The hotel and tourism sub-group decreased the most by 2.36 percent while the business sub-group decreased by more than 1 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
