Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel has stressed the formulation of citizen-centric welfare laws to fulfill the aspirations of the people. <\/p>\n
Addressing a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, he said the government was committed to ensuring effective and result-oriented implementation of the laws formulated by the government. <\/p>\n
He was of the view that the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for change would be truly respected only if the judiciary dispensed justice in a speedy, free and impartial manner. <\/p>\n
“The parliament should formulate citizen-centric welfare laws to fulfill the aspirations of the people,” he said. I want to assure that the government will ensure the effective and result-oriented implementation of the laws that have already been formulated. The martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for change will be truly respected only if the judiciary delivers justice quickly, quickly, independently and impartially. \u2019<\/p>\n
Stating that the new government has already started its works, President Poudel said that the attraction, trust, participation and leadership of the younger generation towards the federal democratic republican governance system has given a clear message. <\/p>\n
According to him, the people want an accountable and transparent governance system, effective service delivery, an end to corruption at all levels and establishment of good governance. He also said that people have expectations for job creation and socio-economic development in the country. <\/p>\n
Stating that the recent agitation by the younger generation has also reflected these sentiments and aspirations, the President urged the government to carry out works as per the people’s expectation. <\/p>\n
“The new government has already started its works. <\/p>\n
It has given a clear message that the younger generation has developed attraction, trust, participation and leadership in the federal democratic republican system of governance. The people aspire for accountable and transparent governance, effective service delivery, end of corruption at all sectors and levels, establishment of good governance, employment opportunities within the country and socio-economic development. <\/p>\n
