The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a double-digit fall on Thursday. The stock market, which has become panicked in recent days after the arrest of businessmen in connection with the money laundering case, has improved after the assurance of Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle. <\/p>\n<p>Representatives of the Stock Brokers Association met Wagle this morning to stabilize the market, which fell by more than 100 points on Sunday. During the meeting, he made it clear that the government was positive towards the private sector and the capital market and there was no need to be afraid if it did not indulge in unethical activities like insider trading and manipulation. Analysts say this message has boosted investor confidence. <\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the NEPSE index increased by 83.33 points to close at 2,760.02 points. The Sensitive Float Index has increased by 14.30 points, while the Float Index has increased by 6.01 points and the Sensitive Float Index has increased by 5.03 points. <\/p>\n<p>However, despite the rise in the market, the transaction amount has decreased compared to the previous day. The turnover was Rs 12.38 billion on Sunday and was limited to Rs 10.92 billion on Monday. More than 2.51 crore units of shares of 345 companies were traded more than 1,24,000 times on the day. <\/p>\n<p>Shares of 8 companies have reached positive circuit level during trading. Reliance Spinning Mills topped the list on the basis of turnover while Himalayan Reinsurance Insurance and NRN Infrastructure Ltd secured the second and third position respectively. <\/p>\n<p>On this day, the indices of all 13 sub-groups have increased. Similarly, the hydropower sub-group increased the most by 4.59 percent, while the financial, banking, development banks, hotel and tourism and investment groups also saw significant improvement. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
