Kathmandu: The hearing on the habeas corpus writ petitions filed against CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former home minister Ramesh Lekhak is convening today. <\/p>\n<p>The government attorney will plead on behalf of the Office of the Attorney General today in the hearing of the habeas corpus writ of Oli and the writer. <\/p>\n<p>A division bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Sunil Kumar Pokharel had started the hearing on Sunday. The arguments of the lawyers on behalf of Oli and the writer have concluded. <\/p>\n<p>Police had arrested Oli and the writer on March 28. They were arrested for investigation in connection with the Jenji agitation on September 23 and 24. <\/p>\n<p>Oli&#8217;s wife Radhika Shakya and leader Lekhak&#8217;s wife Yashoda Lekhak had filed a habeas corpus petition on March 29 demanding the government release them from jail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
