Kathmandu. KATHMANDU \u2014 The newly elected lawmakers of the House of Representatives will take oath of office and secrecy and hold preliminary meetings at the multi-purpose hall of the new Parliament Building in Singha Durbar. <\/p>\n
The Federal Parliament Secretariat is preparing to use the multi-purpose hall for the time being as it will take time to construct the hall constructed for meetings in the new building. <\/p>\n
Secretariat spokesperson Joint Secretary Ekram Giri said that arrangements have been made for an alternative hall for the swearing-in ceremony and preliminary meetings. <\/p>\n
“The construction of the hall for holding the House of Representatives meeting in the new building at Butterfly Garden is not likely to be completed immediately. Therefore, we are preparing a multi-purpose hall for the swearing-in ceremony and preliminary meetings,” Giri said, “It will be ready within 3 days.” It has been built for the use of the Secretariat. Now we are going to use it to make a living. \u2019<\/p>\n
He said he was not sure how long it would take for the parliament building to become a regular meeting hall. New lawmakers were elected in the election held on March 4.
