In the first six months of the current fiscal year 2082\/83, Nepal has spent around Rs 20.5 billion on the import of rice and rice. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>According to the data of TAG_OPEN_p_5 the Department of Customs, rice worth Rs 20.38 billion was imported from mid-July to mid-January. Compared to the same period last year, the price had increased by 6.73 percent. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The import of Basmati rice has reached Rs 4.TAG_OPEN_p_4 27 billion while the import of other semi-polished or fully polished rice has crossed Rs 6 billion. However, there has been a slight decline in the import of rice.
