Kathmandu. Passengers will now be able to see the status of their baggage live at Tribhuvan International Airport. The live view of the baggage drop area i.e. ‘Baggage Drop Area’ from the aircraft will now be shown in the baggage collection area of the arrival hall.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, this system will provide direct information to the passengers coming to Nepal from international flights about the process of reaching the baggage belt after unloading the baggage from the aircraft.

After the new system, passengers will be able to see the activity happening in the baggage drop area through the screen placed in the arrival hall. It is expected that this will help in getting information about where the baggage unloading process has reached and also to estimate the time it will take to receive the baggage.

According to the Ministry, this provision has been implemented to make the service delivery of the airport technology-friendly and transparent.
