The Nepali Congress has called a meeting of its office-bearers today. <\/p>\n<p>Joint General Secretary Ramhari Khatiwada said that the meeting has been called at 3:00 pm. <\/p>\n<p>The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of its office-bearers following the arrest of Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is no basis for arresting the party president, the government has spread rumours of arrest to weaken the voice of the Nepali Congress, the meeting will discuss contemporary issues,&#8221; Khatiwada said, adding, &#8220;We have already made public a 6-point statement on the government&#8217;s controversial move yesterday.&#8221; \u2019<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, NC joint general secretary Ajaya Babu Shiwakoti wrote on social media, &#8220;The government will not be disturbed by your fear and confusion. \u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
