KATHMANDU \u2014 Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that the government is committed to make the Nepal Police more capable of dealing with any possible disaster in the coming days. <\/p>\n
In a message delivered on the occasion of the 71st Police Day today, Prime Minister Shah said the government has given priority to policy guidelines for the police force, legal facilitation, modern training and infrastructure development to enable them to serve the citizens by being always on the frontline. <\/p>\n
He also shared that the government has planned to develop Nepal Police Hospital as a medical college for providing health services to police personnel, their dependents and the general public. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, Prime Minister Shah paid rich tributes to the police personnel who attained immortality during the recent Bhotekoshi-Trishuli disaster in the course of discharging his duty. <\/p>\n
He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and disabled police personnel in the line of duty. “We are marking the 71st Police Day with the slogan ‘Charioteer in Crisis, Shadow in Crisis, Nepal Police with Technology’. The ‘Police Mirror-2083’ to be launched on the occasion is expected to connect the history and present of Nepal Police with the future generation and keep the memories of the organization fresh,” he said. <\/p>\n
The Prime Minister said that the government was serious to prevent and control the increasing financial and cyber crimes of late. Stating that arrangements were being made to address the grievances of the citizens in a more effective manner by bringing together the Nepal Rastra Bank, internet and telecom service providers and digital wallets in collaboration with Nepal Police, the Prime Minister said that preparations were underway to establish Artificial Intelligence (AI), ‘Aerial Security and Support Unit’ and ‘Integrated Anti-Communist Center’. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, the Prime Minister thanked all the friendly nations and international development partners for their support to Nepal Police in disaster management, technology expansion and infrastructure development. <\/p>\n
“Nepal Police is constantly working to maintain internal peace, security and order in the country. The real test of a civil servant is in a time of crisis.
