Kathmandu. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) is preparing to issue death certificates to the people who went missing in the Bhotekoshi floods. <\/p>\n
In a meeting of the Parliamentary Special Committee on Study and Monitoring of the Bhotekoshi and Kaligandaki Corridor disasters held in Singha Durbar on Tuesday, NRA Executive Chief Dr. Dharma Raj Upreti informed that the Act has been amended to treat the disappeared people as ‘death’ or ‘death’ in the context of the floods. <\/p>\n
He said that the verification process will be easier once the results of the DNA test arrive at the police laboratory and that too has reached the final stage. <\/p>\n
He said that works are still being done in terms of relief and rescue and work is being done continuously with regard to the rest of the work. He said that the Ministry of Infrastructure is taking the responsibility of making transistal centers for reconstruction and moving them forward as soon as possible. <\/p>\n
According to him, works have been started in Manang, Mustang, Myagdi and Parbat districts by declaring them as ‘crisis-hit zone’ for the damage caused by floods in the last monsoon and damage to other physical infrastructures. <\/p>\n
Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development Padma Kumar Mainali informed that land has been identified in 300 places through the Ministry of Land Management for the purpose of transiting-center. <\/p>\n
He said that a target has been set to set up 100 high quality tents as transitional centers before Dashain. He said that coordination is yet to be done as the local level will select the beneficiaries. <\/p>\n
