Kathmandu. Jungle safari has been opened for tourists in Shuklaphanta National Park in Kanchanpur. <\/p>\n
Jungle safari has been opened in the national park from Tuesday for tourists coming for sightseeing during Dashain and Tihar. Although all the routes could not be opened due to the rainy season, the main routes have been opened targeting the tourists coming during the Dashain and Tihar festivals, said Purushottam Wagle, information officer of Shuklaphanta National Park. <\/p>\n
“Jungle safari has been opened for tourists and tourists will be able to visit Shuklaphanta during Dashain,” he said, adding, “The route from Majgaun to Shuklaphanta grassland via Babatal and Ranital and from there to Mazgaon via Barkaula has been opened for safari.” \u201d<\/p>\n
He said that tourists can go to the vast grasslands of Shuklaphanta and observe the wildlife. Information Officer Wagle said that if the rain stops, the inner routes of the park will also be operational within a week. <\/p>\n
According to him, the park is also working on grass management in 20 hectares of land in Phata. Spread over an area of 305 square kilometers, Shuklaphanta National Park is famous for tigers and reindeer. Thousands of herds of deer can be seen in the grasslands of the park. There are 2,300 reindeer in Shuklaphanta. <\/p>\n
Similarly, there are 50 Bengal tigers here. Shuklaphanta National Park is famous for rare wildlife and flora. <\/p>\n
