Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that no one can be popular by burning state property and media. <\/p>\n
He said that the tendency to create anarchy by spreading confusion through the misuse of social media is dominant. <\/p>\n
Addressing the party’s ‘Mission Jagran Abhiyan and Cadres’ gathering here today, Oli said that efforts were being made to gain cheap popularity through violent activities without ideology, sacrifice and contribution. <\/p>\n
“Did a person become popular by doing any work or sacrifice, or by contributing or educating orphan children?” asked Oli, adding, “I did not know before that a person becomes popular by burning the state property, business establishments, media offices and equipment.” \u2019<\/p>\n
Stating that the algorithms and misuse of social media have created confusion in the society, he urged the Nepali people not to run after the crow without touching their ears. He said that the awareness campaign was needed more now than before in the country due to the confusion of the people. <\/p>\n
Expressing dissatisfaction over the government’s style of management of floods, landslides and disasters, Oli warned not to repeat past mistakes in rescue and relief works. <\/p>\n
He claimed that government helicopters were misused during the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli floods in the past and relief could not reach on time. <\/p>\n
He also directed all the leaders and cadres of the CPN-UML, members of the party and professional organizations to immediately involve in relief and rehabilitation works though it was the main responsibility of the government. <\/p>\n
