Kathmandu. A public speaking platform called ‘Voicecraft’ has been organized with the aim of bringing people of different regions, professions and age groups together on a single platform and celebrating the power of thought and expression. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The forum, jointly led by Saroj Tamrakar and Sandeep Dhawa, was organized by the A level students of Rupee’s International School. The program is organized every month with the aim of removing the fear of speaking in public and developing confidence and leadership skills in students and new speakers.TAG_OPEN_p_10 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The first event of Voicecraft was held on March 15. Since then, the program has been held every month at Rupy’s International School in Bafal, according to the organizers. The organizers aim to produce at least 100 confident speakers by the end of 2026.TAG_OPEN_p_9 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The program is mainly conducted in two sections. In the first section, the participants present a speech with preparation, while in the second part, the practice of speaking is given by giving an immediate topic. The practice of speaking immediately is called ‘VoiceSpark’. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The MC, facilitator, time manager, and evaluator also play a role in the program. The time manager helps to complete the presentation within the stipulated time, while the evaluator gives feedback on the speaker’s presentation, speaking style, and aspects that need improvement.TAG_OPEN_p_7 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
TAG_OPEN_p_6 According to the organizers, public speaking is not only limited to the practice of speaking but also a means to express one’s views, establish relationships with others, and develop leadership skills. Therefore, Voicecraft has been providing an opportunity to new and beginner speakers to stand on stage and express their views. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The organizers say that this effort, which started with a small group, is now moving forward as a public platform to develop confidence, creativity and effective expression.
