KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education and Sports has directed the Education Development and Coordination Units across the country to take necessary action, drawing serious attention to the fact that teachers of community schools are participating in the programs of political parties. <\/p>\n
The Ministry took this step after news about teachers from Baitadi, Baglung, Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk, Mugu, Rautahat and Salyan participating in political programs was disseminated through social media and media. <\/p>\n
According to the directive issued by the Ministry, such activities of teachers are against the legal provisions of clause (c) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 133 of the Education Rules, 2059. <\/p>\n
Therefore, the Ministry has issued circular to all the 77 Education Development and Coordination Units to identify the teachers violating the code of conduct, carry out further investigation and monitoring as well as to take necessary action as per Rule 137 (c) and Rule 143 of the Regulation in coordination with the local level. <\/p>\n
